Aguila golf course surrounded by scenic mountain views and Phoenix’s downtown skyline The 18-Hole Championship Course features three lakes coming into play on five holes, continuous cart paths, and four sets of tees. The Par-3 Course includes two teeing areas per hole, driving range and practice greens. Aguila Golf Course opened in 1999 and is a 210-acre facility with an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Gary Pank. This design with three lakes providing hazards on five of the holes. Tiff eagle greens and 419 Bermuda fairways provide outstanding playing surfaces along a very rolling terrain. The 59 sand bunkers located greenside and near the landing zones of the fairways are quite deep and penal in nature – particularly off the tee. Land in one and you may as well add a stroke. The aguila golf course facility features an 18-Hole Championship Course and a 9-hole, Par-3 Course. Both offer challenging layout and design.
